End of Year Training Camp 2011
By Nella
The End of Year Training Camp was conducted from the 28th to 31st of December.
Shortly after Christmas, members of NUSKK will gather for a compulsory training camp to kick off the next series of sessions before school reopens. The focus of the camp will range from basic kihon, wazas to keiko at varying parts of the camp. In addition, it also marks the graduation date of our juniors from their Beginners' Course! The course was led by Yong He and Weber this year.
For this camp, we stayed in Raffles Hall, a residence hall in the school campus near the dojo. Over the period of 4 days, the club was fortunate to have visitors from the other affiliate clubs and our Senseis to guide us during our trainings.
One of the highlights of the camp would be the team matches on the last training of the camp! Besides motivating each and every one of the members to fight hard for their respective teams, this is also held in preparation for the upcoming Inter-Club Kendo Tournament. We had a mock shiai prior to the team matches as well!
Here are some of the photos taken during the camp!
